3. I don't think voters care that much

Right wingers just like implying that the President is not "American" which has some dog whistle qualities.

Hawaii is an American state, so they can't use that and the POTUS is from there. They may as well have whined about Sarah Palin visiting Alaska (but they would not have).

Obama took fewer vacation days than Bush and that has to count for something too.
