Most states have an electronic means of verifying that your ballot was recieved and accepted for counting. Use it (and that applies whether you mail your ballot in or drop it off).
There is nothing wrong with dropping off your ballot.
But PLEASE stop encouraging others to avoid voting by mail - that result is exactly the goal Trump is seeking (and definitely don't encourage doing things that are not permitted and will get their ballots rejected.

We just got ours renewed. It took about 3 weeks longer than usual due to the shutdown.
