Trump took this all the way to the Supreme Court, lost, and now he just files another motion to stay the proceedings. The judge says no, so he appeals to the Circuit Court of Appeals, and delays everything for another six weeks or two months or whatever. The appeals panel says no, so he asks for a review by the full circuit, which says no, and then he goes to the Supreme Court again and is told no again. Back to the district court, and another motion to stay gets filed.
