They have some designated speaker from whatever state it is, standing in front of the RNC backdrop, announcing their state's totals of nominating votes for trump. Yawn. No local flavor or color or distinction - except that I think the Hawaii guy wore a flower lei - with his business suit. No scenery or personality or anything. Nobody showing off their "Calamari Comeback" cuisine from Rhode Island with the ocean in the background. Fine. And they knew they were going second so they had time to come up with something interesting, or at least an attempt to one-up the opposition. This is totally forgettable. And unimaginative. And maybe also lazy. But then again, perhaps that's what the entitled set thinks it can get away with.

The Democrats were so far superior in this regard that it's not even funny. That roll call last week was the talk of the town - at least until we all got to see that courageous young Braydon Harrington speak about Joe Biden helping him deal with his stuttering, and he - pardon the pun - trumped everybody and everything. There won't be any of that here. There will, evidently, be lots of spoiled-brat extended-trump-family members, though. Although I doubt Mary Trump will be invited, nor will donald's sister, the ex-judge. Especially after that audio tape of her dissing her rotten brother was released.

I'm not even watching. Saw Louie DeJail stumble and stammer his way through his denials to Carolyn Maloney's committee. He looked miserable. I watched his face. He clearly resents having to be there. He resents having to be questioned, and having to answer people he clearly regards as beneath him. He resents having to explain himself, especially when his actions are suspicious and his assertions don't line up with what the postal workers on the front lines know and are seeing every day. This is just an inconvenience and an annoyance to him. At least judging from watching his face. His demeanor says he doesn't think he owes any explanation to anybody and doesn't see why he has to answer for anything.

And oh yeah - gotta say something about Pence. Whenever that debate happens between him and Kamala Harris, I suspect we'll have a whole new definition of "American carnage." And the "American carnage" will be HIM.
