...and possibly "attempted murder."

This is based on the officer's assertion that Blake had a knife and was threatening him with it. Don't believe it? Neither do I. But the point is that the police claim it, or they wouldn't have made a public statement to that effect, which makes it near certain, given what we've seen from Kenosha authorities so far, that the local D.A. believes it. And, based on that mindset, what better way to absolve the city of any responsibility than to have Blake convicted and put away for years if not decades, while ruling the officer fired in "self-defense."
