This guy went there looking for trouble. The first scene where he’s getting chased didn’t happen at random, he no doubt threatened people with his gun IMO and someone wasn’t having it and chased him.

Wait for it all to come out, but there’s no reason this guy got separated from the other militia men, he went out on his own looking for trouble.
