1. The author needs to learn the difference between "censure" and "censor"

To 'censor' means to remove, block, or interfere with the communication of another. To 'censure', on the other hand, means "to find fault with and criticize as blameworthy."

I suspect that if he had been censured for his work, he would have received some kind of verbal or written reprimand.
