He just loves to hear himself talk and I don't find him that interesting. His guests are good when they can get a word in edgewise. IMO
Edited to add, what I intended to say: Thanks for the background. Maybe that's it. I've noticed sometimes they move the pineapple to a room other than the kitchen or they have two! Sorry for the snark above. Grumpy morning.
