Ya' know, because the DEMs have worked so hard at trying to understand the other side and reach across the isle, we've expanded our party's awareness. We debate pretty severely among ourselves over a lot of issues and play devil's advocate in some situations.
Although the Republican party offers nothing to a die-hard liberal like myself, I do believe that this country needs *at the minimum* two political parties to debate the important issues that effect our lives - but that debate has to occur with rational people, which are lacking in DC today.
I wonder if "Independents" in the vein of Bernie Saunders will become more numerous. There is a guy I could vote for, even if he is retiring.
