If you want to put a stop to the crazies, just give them a microphone and they will do it for you. They manage to provide red meat for the closet bigots, religious fanatics, gun nuts, and looneytarians, (who are going to vote against Democrats no matter what anyway), but what they really do is expose their nuttiness and drive away the moderates.

I think the real danger lies with the bullying of the main stream media. When legitimate journalists are afraid to call bullshit on the craziness for fear of being labeled unfair, something is seriously wrong. Dan Rather gets fired for one story that gets spun against him, yet Faux "journalists" are free to lie about Clinton and Obama all day long every day.
