1. Isn't herd immunity mathematically impossible?

Even if you were to accept all the sickness and death to get there, the latest evidence tells us naturally acquired immunity may only be good for six months or so. So you never succeed, it's just never-ending recurring waves of pandemic.

This may even be true of the vaccine scenarios if they can't substantially improve on that six month number.
