(2,710 posts)Trump's blasting of McCain could be ignored as a personal vendetta, and his smear of Kazir Khan, well that could be dismissed as crass and bad, but still aimed at an individual.
This is very different.
Plus, and this is important, many Trump voters are not cultists. They are conservative, they think he's been unfairly treated by mainstream media, never given credit for anything good he's ever done. They'd vote for him again because they think he deserves credit for a number of things. I just got a list of the things one conservative acquaintance especially credits Trump with. But he isn't a cultist at all, and many in the military who lean very conservative and have a heard time imagining voting for a Democrat, aren't cultists either.
I have hope that it will move the needle for enough people to make it a crushing defeat on November 3.
