However, the more important thing is that she absolutely must vote to cancel his.

Over 50 years ago a woman I knew complained that it was hardly worth voting as her husband's vote cancelled hers. I was much too mild in telling her that it was vital she cancel his vote. Now, I'd shout it from the mountain tops.
