it's not when the tapes were released...it's about the damn timeline..remember in early February this virus barely had a name...this hadn't slammed the United States yet...playing down this virus was not about calm...this wasn't "daddy protecting his children"...this "calm" was about calming a roaring stock market and 4 more years of Trump...and it was not incumbent upon Woodward to issue a dire warning..this was incumbent upon all those GOP boys and girls that had been briefed and were in the process of playing the market for profit before the bottom fell out and ignoring their own constituencies

again, remember who's at the helm...even if Woodward sounded the alarm, Trump and his slobbering FOX sycophants were in charge..post hoc ergo propter hoc..everything that came after was because of what came before...Trump unilaterally dismantled all of the safeguards Obama had put in place in anticipation of a pandemic...that was the real beginning...
