He's attacking the messenger. It's the first play in his book. No matter if its Vindman or Kelly or Comey or Omarosa or Strzok or Mary Trump or Woodward, et. al... and amazingly it doesn't matter who corroborates the story or in this case if there are tapes of him saying all of it himself... he attacks the source.
