15 makes sense to me. Ever the idealistic Democrat, I would hope that picks were made to correct this Federalist Society mess, in terms of balance, but past that goal picks would not be made vindictively. In my civics classes (yes, Im that old) the judiciary was depicted as the most spiritually pure manifestation of our democracy, with the Supremes being diamond like in their dedication to the fairness of our laws. A lock step majority of any persuasion is not in the deliberative best interest of our ideals as a country. I dont think the founders had Bret the weeny wagger in mind.
