seems somewhat prickly. Is that appropriate? Did I miss something? But to the subject at hand. Always with the best attempt at good humor.

I recall, since her first run in with cancer, I had been concerned that RBG had not/would not, remove herself from the SC opportunely. Thus causing a potential catastrophe when/if she were to "die-in-the-saddle". She missed her last good chance in the fall/winter of 2014. That's why we are where we are today. It's a sad business all round.

RBG just didn't take one for the team. Not like Sandy Day-O'Connor, who did the dirty deed required for her cause in 2000, puttered about for a few more years and tottered off into retirement, where she yet lives, cursing the gruel that keeps her alive, to remember and be haunted by her travesty of a life, in the face of so much youthful promise. Alas, success is no easy thing and the air from the mighty heights of a USSC justice's vantage may be unhealthy for body and soul.
