(16,616 posts)16. Excellent post. One of the many shocking aspects of Woodward's new book
are the chapters in which interviews with Trump are transcribed verbatim (punctuated by observations from Woodward). The repetition and chaotic flights from subject to subject, then returning to whatever Trump's current obsession is, are stark. For some reason, it's more disturbing to read the words than to hear him speak, something which others have noticed when we have seen portions of his speeches transcribed here in DU posts.
