(2,818 posts)65. The next-gen guppies (737s) will be made with a thicker skin
Interesting, as the 737 holds the world's record for deskinning incidents.
Boeing says that the thicker "upgauged" skins are not because the previous skin was too thin - no, it is simply because the new engine configuration on the 737MAX requires it.
Given the very slight difference in the engines, somehow this has a hollow ring to it.
In any event it will likely be 2018-2020 before the new guppies hatch out. Meanwhile, if flying on a 737, might want to bring along a roll of aluminum wrap for in-flight repairs.
And keep those windows closed!

OP
It's happened a few times; I don't know if anyone's been sucked out besides that flight attendant.

I'm surprised he didn't ask for a roof rack on top of the plane for the dog too.

So they can flip the finger at other pilots that cut them off in a holding pattern.

No, no, no. This is NOT the reason why airplane windows don't roll down. The real reason is that

Taxes on the rich are TOO MUCH and that's the real reason that airplanes don't have windows.
