(8,554 posts)it does need to be something decided upon well in advance...this coming next week is much too soon. I say that because so many fans just don't have the resources to toss away a ticket to the "big game" so cavalierly, no matter what cause they may support. Saving for months to able to purchase tickets to see your team play is pretty common these days, with the economy in the shape it's in.
I do think that fans need to organize a protest around this refs' lockout and set a date for a nationwide boycott, if the NFL continues to deny the refs' their due, but I am hoping that the uproar over what transpired last night (and all throughout these short three weeks of the season and also, during the entire pre-season play), will finally convince TPTB to listen to the pro referees, reach an agreement, and allow them all to return to their rightful places on the football field.
