8. Poor old NPR has been afraid of it's shadow since the 90's.

They devolved into the milquetoast review they are today in an exuberance of self-preservative caution. And still, they have been the best source of unleavened information about complex issues for the general public. It is refreshing to know that publicly broadcast information, unbeholden to misinformation, may have returned and can be found on the free airwaves.
