Since Trump is more likely to start spilling his sour guts in lock-up, it is in the best interest of the Republican Party that Trump get a full pardon on federal crimes. Of course, that primes the states to prosecute him, so Trump would be on the first plane to Russia where he will live in obscurity until it's convenient for Putin to give him the Navalny treatment.
