Hillary Clinton says what debate viewers saw in President Trump in his face-off against Joe Biden this week was "a mean bully who knows he's losing and is going to take everybody down with him if we let him."
The former Democratic presidential nominee - who thrice debated Trump during the 2016 race - gave her take on Tuesday's first 2020 presidential debate during a Wednesday appearance on CBS's "The Late Late Show."
"It was maddening and sad at the same time," Clinton said, saying she had to walk away from her TV screen more than once after "cringing" at what was unfolding on the debate stage in Cleveland.
Trump repeatedly sought to interrupt the former vice president - a move Biden occasionally reciprocated - during the heated and combative debate.
