In addition to all the other horrors visited upon us this year, we are in the midst of an election cycle that is contested to the point where Trump has called for murderous thugs to await his command, and where voter suppression has been ramped up to the point that Trump has ordered the destruction of the Post Office itself.

As I sat through the news tonight (10 pm to 12 midnight my time), it gradually dawned on me that not only had Trump (and Hicks) exposed his entire family and all his top aids, but that he had also exposed VP Joe and Dr Jill Biden and whoever came with them to the debate.

The possibilities are horrifying. This truly is a national crisis, as we wait to see if our national government will be decapitated, and the orderly transition to another president thwarted.
