I just don't get where he thought there would be an advantage in coming across as a racist and a hater when up to that day he had based his campaign on being bipartisan and likable.
Politically it seems like a really bad move. You expect somebody like Guiliani to be snarly. It is quite a shock when that comes from Scott Brown. I don't see any upside to that and loads of downside.
If Warren remains graceful with a "Can we set the racist, personal attacks aside and get back to a discussion of the issues?", I think she wins this thing with a few points to spare.
It is really remarkable how quickly the GOP Senate chances seem to be imploding. They should easily have taken the Senate, given the number of seats the Dems had to defend.
And if the GOP misses this opportunity, that will be two elections is a row where the Senate chances were screwed by the teabaggers (this time in Indiana and Missouri.)
