but the core message was along the lines: the patient was advise in no uncertain terms of the risks of aborting hospital care, the pt was advised this, the pt was advised that

the Drs have to cover their asses. No way they recommended discharge. If Trump infects someone and that person dies......well the rule is: first do no harm

and there is a diagnostic code for "noncompliance to care" I bet it gets punched
