(114,437 posts)First, this is a two week disease. People can feel good for a few hours and then the temperature spikes up and the fatigue kicks in and the cough gets worse again.
While I think he might have tested positive before the debate, I don't think he was ill yet. He couldn't have babbled like that if he had been, he'd have been interrupted, himself, with multiple coughing fits, even if he was mainlining Tussionex.
So he's got about 9 days to go on this thing and that's if his first symptoms appeared on Thursday. This disease doesn't let go so easily.
Second, he's going to be on a dexamethasone taper. Steroids put you on an emotional roller coaster, they make you ravenously hungry while screwing up your stomach, but they make you feel really, really good, better than good, really great.
He's all about the quick fix and getting things nobody else can get and when it dawns on him that he's not fixed yet, he's going to be very unhappy about that.
In the meantime, he is not going to quarantine, he is not going to remain in his quarters, he's not even going to remain in the White House, he has a pathological need to meet and greet his fanboys, especially if they have money to extort. Typhoid Drumpf is going to be on the move and there's nothing anyone can do to stop him.
