So did Scalia. Gorsuch is smug.

They think they are better.

Smug is very different from confidence. Obama is confident, Amy Klobuchar is confident, Pete Buttigieg is confident, Kamala Harris is confident. Countless others. You can tell the difference between confident and smug in how you feel when you’re around the person.
