9. She might change over time, and unfortunately, she will have a LOT of time

Her kids will grow up and get complicated. Maybe her husband will have an affair and leave her, or one of the kids will be out of the closet.
She will be in a room with the same 8 (or 12) people for years.
I think she will be a terrible vote for at least the next 5 years, but after that, who knows? Because she seems pretty weak but she will have actual power, and she will look for someone else on bench from which to take cues.

I’m not downplaying the terrible circumstances. I’m just not sure I’d count on stability in her world views when she becomes a member of a new, far more prestigious club — the SC. The Federalist Society is inside the walls of the SC but the People of Praise group isn’t.

Maybe Kavanaugh will try to grab her in the back room and she will sue him or quit. Maybe she will discover she likes Kagan or Sotomayor and start gradually shedding some of her beliefs.

Or maybe she will be impeached.
