(11,392 posts)there are already cities with large gated communities, so extending their walls is not a far stretch. However, any city that wants to 'gate' itself can tend to their own knitting as far as state or county funding is concerned. Not to mention fed funding... hey, if you are not 'promoting the general welfare' then you can stuff it. Also, make sure to pass state laws that do not allow private entities to purchase any roads from their locale. They can try to gate all they want but if they don't own the roads, they cannot interfere with flow. I might also suggest that anyone who is for such draconian measures be identified so that their workers can leave them to their own devices. I don't care if I work for you, if you are going to actively make my life harder, then you can make your own damn money.
