Hi Ricardo
A letter from Leslie, detained by ICE at the St. Claire County Jail, Michigan. Leslie is scheduled to be deported on Tuesday, January 10th. To stop Leslie's deportation please join her supporters in signing her petition: bit.ly/lesliemi
This whole situation has felt like a nightmare. I have never been in trouble before. I have never broken the law, and when I am not working I am with my kids [Bridgett, Steven and Timothy]. I have so much pain because I am separated from my kids. I know I have to be strong, but I cannot be apart from them.
Leslie will be deported tomorrow unless you take action. Click. Sign. Pass it on.
I have been in the United States since I was 11 and have spent most of my life here. This is my home. I would have no place to go in Mexico. It is an incredibly dangerous place for not only me, but my children.
My three young children have never been to Mexico. I cannot bear the thought of being separated from my children as them going to Mexico is not safe. My son Steven was severely injured when he was hit by a car and will need check-ups and surgeries in the future, but he will not get such care in Mexico. My daughter Bridgett has severe breathing issues, and is treated in the United States, but would not get this help in Mexico.
Reunite Leslie with her family - sign her petition and make a call for her family.
It is very difficult for me to be in jail here and away from my kids. I know they are afraid, but I must be strong for them and myself. I pray that you will let me stay in the United States to remain with my family.
