That as of this week is up to thousands of differentially functioning devices, on hundreds of slightly different OS versions, amongst dozens of companies with drastically varying options and goals.
Meanwhile Apple is focused on one OS that runs the exact same OS for their two devices.

It's a 'feature.' Amazon and Google's sites are full of ads and so are their devices.
