30. It's possible but VERY unlikely that it was Covid in early February.

There were a few nasty flu-like bugs going around in the winter and early spring that weren't Covid. If Covid had been spreading in the US in early February, the rise in deaths would have started earlier than it did, which was toward the end of March.
