In reply to the discussion: AOC now streaming live on Twitch [View all]fishwax
(29,346 posts)74. yup -- outside of just not liking AOC, there's no reason not to like this
It's been great outreach and, frankly, a lot of fun too. I've been listening off and on. AOC and Ilhan, as well as several of the twitch personalities they're playing with have talked about the importance of voting and having a voting plan, etc. One of the other players is from Wales, apparently, and so they had a discussion about health care in other countries vs. the United States that was interesting. And AOC also stressed that, even if some of the viewers aren't able to vote they could still talk to voters that they know about the importance of a voting plan, etc. It's been fun and, I have no doubt, productive.

She is spending her down time reaching out to over 400K viewers now. Is that a waste?

It's not easy for a freshman congressional rep to reach out to 400K people over two hours.

Why is that funny? It's true. That's why they call it the "world wide web"....

You said "lol", which is short for "laughing out loud". You laugh at things that aren't funny?

Other than "laughing out loud" or "laugh out loud" what else does it mean on the internet? Lol.

Well based on what you've provided here, I have my doubts. I've said what it means, you haven't. Lol

Who mentioned a Biden ad? Of 58 responses so far you're the only one who did.

Nope, not even close. I'm not watching the game so don't know anything about what ads are running.

Yes, it includes Americans. But platforms like that are rife with foreign trolls....

Ask Robert Mueller. But if it's interactive they didn't just watch, they participated too.

How many of those half a million are in the United States or are registered voters?

It's quite possible that many of them may not be US citizens. As I pointed out, "Twitch" is global.

You can, I'm not interested. I'm more interested in encouraging AMERICAN VOTERS to get out to vote..

The truth is no one is sure. Robert Mueller confirmed that in his report. G'night!
