I finally had an encounter with a trumpanzee [View all]
After moving into a new neighborhood a year and a half ago my wife and I have been slow to join the neighbors but there is a guy that lives across the street who we'd talk to occassionally. Well, it was more like listen to him cause he never shuts up for us to get a word in edgewise, but I digress.
three weeks ago a t 2020 sign got planted in his yard (it's a 5 plex section 8 building) I assumed it was someone else in the building and a week ago I asked him if it was his. He mumbled, yeah, I can't stand Democrats blah blah blah. I let it drop.
Today he came over to ask if he could borrow $20.00 til his check comes in this week. Must be on SSDI cause he's not old enough for SS but I don't know for sure. Anyway, I asked again, did you plant this sign and he said "Yes, I can't stand Democrats and the liberals are going to turn us into a communist country".
Beep: Wrong answer. I said, "Here we are, you're asking a Democratic,Liberal, Communist, Marxist,Socialist, rule abiding American Veteran for a $20.00 loan knowing the guy you're supporting wants to take away every piece of social safety net YOU rely on"
He went into the gun confiscation shit, the religion crap, and a few other talking points. By then I was pissed off and told him, "Go to the rnc at the Villages and borrow from them. See if they'll help ya out" The bile was rising in my throat and I left him standing next to the sign. As far as the $20, I don't care if he has to prostitute himself to get it.
