4. The only thing they care about is making money for themselves.

They don't care if the environment is good or bad, as long as no regulations are there to limit their ability to earn money.

They don't care if people live or die to COVID, as long as they can keep their businesses opened.

They don't care if people vote or not, as long as they win and remain in power.

Of course, for all these issues, they end up on the wrong side of history because the right thing to do is to put regulations where appropriate and that would stand in their way of making more money.
