The white ethnic group (and their poc allies) as a bloc vote [View all]

I think we are seeing that in the past few elections and I don't think it's going to change. It's going to be very hard to pry them away from the GOP grasp. The Republicans will learn to field candidates with Trump's agenda without his offputting baggage. Even as whites become the minority, they will still be the largest single ethnic group, and they are likely to ally with minorities who don't think fhemselves as poc, e.g., Asians and some Hispanics.

Apropos of maybe nothing, my college student niece is in a sorority at a large southern school. Looking at some group pictures, I notices several Black members. Progress, right? Well, maybe not. On further inquiry, these young women were African exchange students, no doubt from the political and social elite of their own countries. Maybe it really is all about class.
