Been there to see Devil's Tower (worth the journey, very spiritual place). Flying over the state all you see are oil wells and fracking sites, as far as the eye can see. Such a shame to see the wide open spaces carved up. RW white man's greed knows no bounds and in WY will make no laws against his craven addiction for pillage of Mother Earth. She is free for the grabbing boys. Now, you have your answer as to why the place is so RED, so full of assholes.
