71. Like James Randi did to a faith healer in 1987

In 1987 James Randi exposed faith healer Peter Popoff in precisely that way. Popoff was being fed personal information about audience members (who had filled out "prayer cards" when entering the event) by is wife via a hidden wireless receiver. Randi used a scanner, found the wife's frequency, and recorded the whole thing.

Then he went on the Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson still reigning) and showed Popoff's own video of the event synced with Randi's recording of the wireless transmission. It was absolutely devastating and forced Popoff into bankruptcy (though after a while he was back to fleecing a new flock. The don't call them "shorn-again" for nothing).

However, if Romney tried it (and likely with Bush) the signal would probably be scrambled for security. I don't think there's anyone in that business who doesn't know about the Popoff expose and how it was done.
