22. I think this means nothing except that people like early voting

They get it out of the way early instead of worrying about what time to leave work on election day, whether they might get sick on election day, etc. Also the polls are less crowded and in states that allow all voting by mail they have more time to review ballot questions, etc. It is just a more relaxed way of voting and it is catching on, which is good, but I don't think you can look at how many vote early this year vs 2008 because early voting was newer then and not everyone realized how much more they would like it than waiting on lines on election day.

NJ now has no questions asked and no excuses needed absentee voting and I only found out about it a few weeks ago. I'd be willing to bet most New Jerseyans never heard of it. In 4 years I bet there will be a huge increase in those who vote absentee.
