Running a news network is a high maintenance operation. Besides paying Rachel there are producers and researchers and writers and techies...a lot of people behind the scenes who make the show go. I'm glad that GE and now Comcast have let Rachel, Ed, Lawrence and others at that network do their thing...and it appears to be paying dividends. The ratings are up and with it the commercial time gets more precious.

The network has the same amount of content time as its comeptitors and Rachel's show is formatted identical to the other evening programs (it has to so it can be rerun later). I don't mind the promos...that's what a viable and succesful network does to present an image and expand an audience. It sure beats seeing another insipid Free Credit Score commercial or singing local car dealer...
