General Discussion
In reply to the discussion: Shouldn't I be more excited? [View all]and I cried off and on all day yesterday. Last night my daughter wondered why she felt so numb, so she put it in writing to try and clarify her feelings. We think one person at Daily Kos summed it well in his comment:
"Its why no one cheers after leaving an abusive relationship."
This really hit home. We have both been long time supporters of Joe Biden, so having him in the White House is a dream come true, but four long years of constant daily abuse leaves a few scars. A lot of people are still shell-shocked.
Its been an extraordinary week for me though, one I'll never forget.
