5. There goes Trump again ..

True story -- my dad was a Pendergast Man in Kansas City. Tom Pendergast (and his brother Mike) essentially ran KC during the 20s and 30s. When the Feds were about to take Pendergast down (on tax charges, a la Al Capone), Tom told all his underlings to go away and separate themselves from him so they wouldn't go down with him. I'm pretty sure my Dad didn't do anything too nefarious (no rubbing people out or anything like that. He was more involved with running the local River Market and delivering food and clothing baskets to widows and orphans). But if Tom Pendergast, the political boss, cared more about his people than Donald J Trump, then that says a hell of a lot about Trump.
