Does anyone really believe that trump would go into this without thinking things could collapse? Before he agreed to taking this gig he probably asked, what's in it for me. They offered him riches. When he said, that's not enough - sometimes things go bad. If it goes bad I get twice that. And they agreed. Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about anything else. There is no moral victory to be had.

any deal going in he accepted for what the GOP's was willing to pay. They thought nothing could go wrong but it did. So he goes in downsizing and cutting everywhere, crash and burn. In the meantime all that unspent money is being leveraged for ?

Either way, he wants his pay and the cons don't have it.
