In reply to the discussion: AOC: Georgia isn't a red state. It's a voter-suppressed state. [View all]Thanks for your help, Alex. Late, yet appreciated. Stacey has this. She has turned it blue.
Stacey Abrams has got this and has since the beginning. She has been non stop on this since she lost her election, one stolen from her in 2018. Two years she has fought relentlessly for her state and the people. She and the late John Lewis know Georgia.
More Thoughts On The Election

Had more time to think about the election. To absorb the victory.
I want to thank all the Democratic voters in 2018.
Why 2018?
Because, thats when we elected Democratic Governors in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania.
Having those Democratic Governors MATTERED in 2020.
ELECTIONS MATTER!
We also havent given enough thanks to Stacey Abrams and all those who have been fighting on the ground in Georgia to finally turn Georgia BLUE.
It cannot be understated all the voting rights cases that have been brought in Georgia that were won, and have been won since Abrams lost.
It matters that they won the cases that said, even if the voter casts a ballot electronically, there must be a paper record of it. No more wiped servers in Georgia.
It matters that the Democrats insisted on VOTING PLANS FOR 2020.
It matters that Democrats had all those Mail Ballots in 2020. The ability to physically count the ballots has meant a great deal in 2020.

Stacey Abrams is owed the lion shares of credit for what she did in Georgia. It is blue.
Thank you Stacey.

Isn't she the Congresswoman from one of 29 Districts in New York? By the way, a contribution....

She needs to stay away from Georgia. It is on the cusp and we have a chance but it is still pretty

AOC can't help us with Georgia...anymore than Manchin could her her win New York.

It is completely different. Those who are 'liberal' in Georgia are mostly moderately conservative

So Stacey Abrams who has been working for two years for Georgia should just sit down.

No. AOC reports raising $100k for groups fighting for Georgia. How does that "hurt us in Georgia"?

You missed the point: This is another "lets all hate AOC" thread. No use trying to be reasonable.

It's not a terrible thing, but it's funneling money off to peripheral organizations....

Yes. They've done a great job and may have tipped some close states to Biden. Problem?

I don't see this as "telling GA what to do" -- it's a call for donations to GA-based orgs.
