11. They can be very difficult to wear with sensory issues

I haven't sought a medical exemption because I can wear one for a short time and if I get overwhelmed I can just leave wherever I am since I have no need to go anywhere that requires a mask except for brief shopping trips. But I have sensory issues and it feels awful to wear a mask. I feel like I am about to cry the entire time. I would not have been able to wear one at all as a child, as an adult I can manage long enough to run my errand and get out ASAP. Fortunately I am self employed and work at home so it hasn't been an issue there.

I'm still trying to figure out WHO qualifies for a medical exemption from wearing a mask? Vivienne235729 Nov 2020 #1
One qualification that would probably be legitimate re masks (not shields)... Spazito Nov 2020 #7
I understand that but it is still not a good enough reason for someone to go around without a mask Vivienne235729 Nov 2020 #12

I understand that but they still don't decrease the liability involved. Kind of like providers Vivienne235729 Nov 2020 #18

I'm glad you're able to work at home and have made it work for you. You're lucky. Vivienne235729 Nov 2020 #14
I would suggest using a face shield. It also has the advantage of keeping particles out of your eyes LiberalFighter Nov 2020 #15
The problem is more people claiming fake "medical exemptions" because they don't want to wear a mask PoliticAverse Nov 2020 #25
