43. Here's the problem.

Many, many rural white people don't care at all about what Democrats can do for them. They vote based on racism, abortion, guns, and gays. I know this because I live among them. Until they drop their bigoted worldview Democrats can't and won't win their vote. And that is fine because there's no way we should pander to that bullshit. We can win areas if we focus on turnout among young people and minorities, especially African-Americans which could help us be more successful in the South.
