They're deploying the ostrich strategy knowing a week from now no-one that matters, i.e., average mis- or uninformed voters, will remember.

Frankly, they also see potential for having their cake and eating it too with the possibility that if they keep quiet about the election, tRump's alternative universe may actually prevail -- in which case they get everything they want and remain on good terms with the emperor to boot.

Don't underestimate these people or this situation. We were all totally and legitimately aghast about treasonous Russia collusion. Many of us were confident that it would be his and their undoing, especially early on. We are early on in the election denial.

So, yeah ... complicit whether their strategy succeeds or not.
