Republicans today are not the same as they were. There isn't even a pretense of working together.

I can't count the number of times I said "he's going to do x" and my beloved husband said "Nah, that can't happen!"

It always happened.

There was never any real pushback.

He has shredded our entire system there are no checks and balances to speak of.
