I'm betting that OWS is one of them. The Constitution. Gandhi's nonviolent protests. Martin Luther King Jr's marches.

I think The Steel Trap summed it up well. Where a bank manager sees an opportunity to walk away with a million dollars. The perfect crime. But once he takes the money and his wife discovers that he stole it, the bottom drops out. It looked so good on paper. But the reality is that she knows no good will come from having taken that cash.

I think there are absolutes. And I don't think anyone works around them. In a way this is why I am not overly concerned whether or not George Bush faces the Hague. He faces it every day. Waht of the million dead Iraqi's, one asks. I just don't know. But I do know that there is only one way. Force isn't the way. Force only appears to work. But it leaves it's marks. It's an empty success.
